Email list: Do you need one? Why they work.

An email list is a list of subscribers or customers of your product or service. Once your company or brand has obtained information from your subscribers (this can be as little as name and email address), you can begin to send personalized marketing campaigns to your email list with very little effort.

 

      2. How Does an Email List Work?

 

The key to creating an effective email list is understanding your target market. Once you’ve compiled a list of names and email addresses from your subscribers/customers, you need to begin to understand who makes up your target demographic. In doing this, you will be able to personalize your email list to become more appealing to your market.

 

When preparing your message to send out to your email list subscribers, be sure to keep their interests in mind. Of course, you are going to want to keep your interests in mind as well. By keeping your subscribers at the forefront of your mind when writing your message, they will be more likely to remain loyal to your company/brand.

 

      3. Why Do I need an Email List?

 

An email list may seem outdated with the rise of social media marketing, but it is still very relevant. Email lists are very much intentional whereas social media marketing may be less so. In order to join an email list, a customer/subscriber has to provide you with their email address. In doing so, the customer/subscriber is obviously interested in your brand.

 

Lastly, email lists are personal. Social media campaigns may be more generalized, but email lists can target your consumer and their interests directly. These emails are sent from your company and serves as a direct line to your customers/subscribers. 

 

      4. Email Lists Work

 

In conclusion, email lists work. Your customers/subscribers are often times more willing to use your service if they feel like the brand has their best interests in mind. Email lists are quick and simple to compile, and they are one of the best ways to reach your target market.
